How To: Enable flash for websites on Microsoft Surface (with tool)

A few weeks back we discussed how you can go about enabling flash on your Microsoft Surface for certain websites, well now theres a tool which can do this automatically for you, which is great for those of you who are little more hesitant when it comes to editing XML files. It's been developed by Droidkid  and allows you to add websites easily to your Flash whitelist, you can also copy over the original copy of the XML if for example you'd prefer to return to having some websites being restricted by Microsoft. Check out the steps below to begin easily adding websites to your whitelist.

Step #1

Download this zip and extract it to somewhere on your PC.

 

Step #2

Open the Windows RT Whitelist Flash tool.bat file that you can find within the location you extracted it to.

 

Step #3

Hit '3′ on your keyboard and then type in the website that you would like to whitelist on Metro IE, you'll need to do this without entering www or HTTP an example of a valid website can be found below.

Once that has completed you should now be able to run flash on the websites you couldn't before!
